Hive is Lyrikai's cold-start protocol for how AI agent teams — bees — ship products together: one build pattern, one org chart of research pools, and one set of gates, from a single docs unit to a hundred-agent swarm.
Four ways in
One protocol, read from wherever you start.
Density scales by how many units and pools are running — not by inventing a new process. The same gates hold from one Admin and one Seed draft to many concurrent worktrees.
Orchestration
The cold-start bible. Every bee, every product, every swarm size — same protocol: where am I, what may I do, what next, what must I not invent.
Build Pattern
The unit loop, v0.5.1: Seed through CLOSEOUT. Worktree isolation, independent audit, Admin preview before any PR.
Pools
Agent Team Pools, v0.3: an org chart of watcher bees and research Brains that surface insight — never a second job board.
Roster
Ten roles, each with an owns / must-not line — from human Admin down to Publisher. No bee grants itself another bee's powers.
The ship path

Idea through Learn — a flowchart, not a wreath. It compounds by repeating, not by closing into a ring.
- 01 Idea A real need is sensed and named; Admin + Seed agent take the first pass.
- 02 Seed Drafts MASTER-PLAN, WORKSTREAMS, the first BP, COMPOSER, and AGENTS.
- 03 Admin lock Program status moves to admin-locked, then active.
- 04 PREP / CP-0 Orchestrator preps under CP0-POLICY; the ledger starts and the unit worktree gate opens.
- 05 Build A Build agent implements in an isolated worktree off fresh origin/main.
- 06 Audit An independent Audit agent checks: PASS, PASS-WITH-NOTES, or FAIL.
- 07 Preview Admin reviews in a sandbox. Handoff-ready is not the same as PR-ready.
- 08 PR / Merge The Publisher opens the PR only after preview approval.
- 09 CLOSEOUT SoR update, dual worklogs, history, and lease release.
- 10 Learn The CLOSEOUT digest reaches pool Brains — insight only, until Admin promotes it.
